2nd Annual Marine Executive Association (MEA) Job Fair, Networking & Social Event
We were excited to attend the 2nd Annual Marine Executive Association‘s (MEA) Job Fair, Networking & Social Event held at Cafe Asia, in Arlington, Virginia this past Friday, November 6. More than 70 U.S. Marines and employers attended the event, which included professional networking, a cake cutting and birthday toast.
MEA President Timothy Murphy read Gen John LeJeune’s birthday message, and the group watched a video of current Commandant of the Marine Corps James T. Conway wishing them a great 234th Marine Corps birthday.
The guest of honor, and oldest Marine present, Col Warren Weidhahn (USMC Ret) was awarded an MEA plaque by MEA Chairman Vonzell Mattocks. Col Weidhahn helped establish the MEA in 1982.
The youngest Marine, Joe Lanphear, was also recognized during the ceremony. Lanphear and his brother, John, both drove from New York to attend the event and were seeking employment after successfully completing tours in the Marines as infantrymen.
It was a special, fun event and our team was honored to have been present. Thanks MEA, for a meaningful ceremony and great job fair!
