It’s That Time Again, the Best Recruiter Celebration

What is the Best Recruiter program? We ask security cleared and cyber security job seekers who participate in a Cleared Job Fair or Cyber Job Fair to vote for the recruiters who provide the best recruiting experience.

Why is the Best Recruiter program so important? The Candidate Experience is becoming a more important and integral part of a talent acquisition strategy. Now in its ninth year, the Best Recruiter Program provides candidates with the opportunity to provide feedback to recruiters who go above and beyond to showcase why hard-to-find talent would want to work with their companies.

The Best Recruiter Program has become an integral part of employer brand building in the security cleared community. Word-of-mouth employer branding is a vital component of a talent acquisition strategy for any company targeting the security cleared community. That’s because cleared candidates value face-to-face offline connecting as much as connecting online.

The Best Recruiter program reinforces for companies that their recruiting strategy is resonating with cleared candidates. This is important to many small and medium size companies whose recruiters wear several hats.

Susan LaMotteThe Best Recruiter Celebration recognizes the efforts of recruiters, their managers and their companies for incorporating the candidate experience into their recruiting efforts. This year’s keynote speaker is Susan LaMotte, SPHR founder and CEO of exaqueo (ex-ack-we-o), a workforce consultancy and creative agency known for building and executing research-based employer brands.

Susan got her first W-2 at age 14 and hasn’t stopped working or thinking about the way people work ever since. A career HR practitioner, in the past two decades, Susan has worked inside and consulted for renowned global brands including The Ritz-Carlton, Princeton University, GEICO, Four Seasons, MedStar, Social Tables and many more.

She’s known for her pioneering employer brand and social recruiting strategies. Susan has been featured in and written for publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, Forbes, the New York Times, Globe and Mail and The Washington Post. She’s the author of two books including “The Right Job, Right Now” (St. Martin’s Press) and has been featured in several more.

Susan has an MBA in Human and Organizational Performance from Vanderbilt University where she was a Dean’s Scholar. She also has an MA in Human Resource Development from The George Washington University and a BA in Communications and Public Relations from Virginia Tech. Known for getting more done in ten minutes than most people do all day, Susan’s work ethic is spurred by new music and a bit of Philadelphia-born honesty. She lives with her husband and daughter in Charleston, South Carolina.

The Best Recruiter Celebration is an invitation-only event for talent acquisition professionals who have been recognized as Best Recruiters.
