New Job Seekers Can Enter Too

Not yet a ClearedJobs.Net job seeker? That’s OK too. As long as you have an active or current security clearance, create a job seeker profile, and upload your resume, you’re entered to win.

Why It’s Important for You to Log In and Refresh Your Account

Did you know when employers search a resume database they typically only search for job seekers who have been “active” in the last 30 days?

Recruiters don’t want to wade through resumes from job seekers who are no longer in the job market. And employers assume you are no longer looking for a job if your account has not been accessed in the last 30 days.

Logging in also puts you at the top of the recruiter’s search results. That’s because search results are presented to recruiters chronologically. The more often you log in, the more likely you are at the top of the pile. You need to log in at least monthly.

New Feature – Willing to Relocate

If you’re a job seeker who is willing to relocate, make sure you check this new box on the Career Preferences page.

To get there log in to your job seeker account. From My Account Dashboard click on View your Profile. Select the Career Preferences tab. You’ll see the check box for Willing to Relocate at the bottom of the Career Preferences page.

Do You Need to Update Your Resume

What You Do to Enter

Simply log in and your account will be updated to reflect you’re active as of the log in date. And remember, log in at least monthly so your resume is at the top of the recruiters’ search results.

The date of your most recent login is reflected in the information for your Default Resume. If you click on the Default Resume, you’ll see the Last Updated date in parentheses.
