September 8 Cleared Job Fair Career Seminar Schedule

Join us Thursday, September 8, for the Cleared Job Fair at the Waterford in Springfield, VA to meet with over 20 cleared facilities employers. We’ll also be featuring career seminars and resume reviews to aid in your job search. Our schedule for the day:

10:30am – 10:45am Smart Start: What to Say to Recruiters at a Job Fair

What can you do to improve your chances of making the right connections that will lead you to the job you want? Learn some simple steps to get the most out of any job fair and to maximize your results.

10:45am – 11:15am Leverage Your Past Successes Into a New Position

You have some good experience and knowledge. How do you leverage your past successes into a new position where you can succeed? Learn what you need to do to create an effective job search that results in the right job offer for you. Whether you are starting your job search or need to kick it into high gear, you will leave with a better plan.

11am-3pm Professional One-on-One Resume Reviews

These are about 5 minute sessions where a job seeker can review their resume directly with an HR professional. We offer these sessions on a first-come, first-serve basis and they fill up fast.

11:30am – Noon Resumes – Quick Tips to Get to the Top of a Recruiter’s Pile

Whether you’re working on your first resume or your 21st, do you know what you need to do now to succeed? What’s the point of your resume? How do you get an employer’s attention? What’s ‘the golden zone’ and why should you care?

Noon – 12:30pm Changing Careers

Thinking of changing your career but unsure where to begin? Join us to develop your roadmap. Transitioning military? This is for you too!

12:45pm – 1:45pm Using Social Media In Your Job Search

Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn for a job search? Really? Yes, really! Learn how to leverage social media to turbocharge your job search.

1:45pm – 2:15pm – Resumes, Showcasing Your Accomplishments

Achievements?  Successes?  How do you show what you have accomplished in a few short bullets?  How do you translate past work success into the job you want next?  Learn more about how to make your resume work for you, not against you.
