1:00 p.m. – Utilizing Social Media for your Career Search

  1. I am glad you are focusing on job search for the "hidden job market". Security Clearances are a classic case of a qualification that cuts across hiring boundries and trumps other qualifications. This means directly targeting companies and agencies who do secure work before positions are posted can give you an inside track. It also means that connections built through a network can move you quickly in front of a hiring manager. Love the title "Oh No, Not Networking." Few people recognize that networking when looking for a job is quite painful and not exclusively a social-skills exercise. See if there is some material you can use from my website & book.
