We’re thrilled to announce that ClearedJobs.Net, your trusted resource for security-cleared job search and career advice, unveils a fresh new look! The features and tools you rely on remain familiar, but are now enhanced with a modern design to elevate your experience.
What’s New
One of the biggest updates is a new look for the site, with improved menu bar navigation so you can easily access important career resources. While the core functionality remains largely the same, we’ve introduced a few tweaks to ensure your profile is optimized for employers to find you.
Enhanced Profile Fields
We’ve added new profile fields to help you stand out to employers and showcase your skills and career goals. Here’s what’s new in My Profile:
- Recent/Current Job Title: Think of this as your professional headline. Add a concise title that reflects your most recent or current role (e.g., “Senior Cybersecurity Analyst” or “Systems Engineer”). This field grabs employers’ attention and gives a quick snapshot of your expertise.
- Years of Experience: Are you pursuing entry-level roles or positions that require extensive experience? Specify your years of professional experience to help employers match you with roles that fit where you are in your career journey.
- Key Skills: Select Key Skills from a dropdown menu that includes technical skills, certifications, and professional specialties. This helps employers find you for roles that fit your unique skill set. You can select multiple skills, but they should be relevant skills that you possess. Have a skill that you don’t find an option for? Contact our Customer Service team.
- Ideal Work Locations: Add up to three desired work locations. You can search for selections by zip code or by entering a city, state, or country. You can even type and select “Remote” as an option.
- Profile Photo: This is an optional feature. If you choose to upload a profile photo, keep in mind that employers can see it, so select a professional image that enhances your brand.
New Feature for Transitioning Military
We’re excited to introduce a new option for transitioning military members! You can now specify your EAS (End of Active Service) month and year in your profile, helping employers better understand your availability.
Updated Login Method for Some Users
Most job seeker accounts already use an email and password to log in, but if you previously logged in with a username, you’ll now use your email address going forward. You can update the email associated with your account at any time via My Profile, by clicking the edit icon next to your name.
What Stays the Same
Rest assured, existing job search accounts are transferred automatically, with a few minor updates required from you to keep everything running smoothly.
Your profile, resume, job alerts, job fair registrations, and applications all transfer to the new site without any action needed on your part. We’re committed to making this transition as effortless as possible for you.
Log In and Update Your Profile
When you log in to your account, you’ll see a button on your job seeker dashboard that says “Complete Your Profile Now!” The more profile details you provide, the easier it will be for cleared employers to discover you.
To ensure your account is fully optimized on the new site, please take a moment to update the following:
- Recent/Current Job Title
- Years of Experience
- Key Skills
- Ideal Work Locations
- EAS month and year (if you’re transitioning from the military)

FAQ: Your Questions Answered
Q: Is the “new” site at the same web address?
A: Yes, you can still access the site at https://clearedjobs.net.
Q: Did ClearedJobs.Net’s features change significantly?
A: The core features and functionality for job seeker accounts remain very similar. The primary updates are a fresh, user-friendly design and new profile fields to leverage, like Recent/Current Job Title, which serves as a professional headline.
Q: Are there any changes to how I search for jobs or apply for them?
A: The job search and application process uses the same helpful tools you’re used to. The updated design makes it even easier to sort through positions by location, with a new map view feature.
Q: Do I need to create a new account?
A: No, you don’t need to create a new account. Your profile, resume, job alerts, job fair registrations, and applications automatically transfer. No action is needed to carry over these details.
Q: What do I need to do to get started?
A: Log in and update the following fields via My Profile to improve your visibility to employers and capture their attention as a candidate of interest: Recent/Current Job Title, Years of Experience, Key Skills, Ideal Work Locations, and your EAS month and year (if you’re transitioning from the military).
Q: What happens if I don’t update the new profile fields, like Key Skills?
A: While your account will still be active, updating your profile helps employers find you more easily. Employers see your profile details first, before deciding to click through to your resume, so it’s important to complete your profile to get noticed for the right roles. Also note, the menu of Key Skills to choose from on the new site replaces the Key Skills that you previously input manually. This new pre-determined list of skills to choose from ensures that you pick skills that employers are truly running searches for. This is a crucial component of a successful profile, so don’t neglect to update it.
Q: I’m preparing for a military transition. What’s new for me?
A: We added a new field to your profile where you can specify your EAS month and year. This helps employers better understand your availability. Be sure to also take advantage of the new Recent/Current Job Title field, which acts as a professional headline to quickly describe your role or career to employers.
Q: Can I still access my old resume, or do I need to upload a new one?
A: Your resume(s) transfer to the new site automatically with your existing profile. You can continue using it or upload a new one if you’d like to update it.
Q: Where did the Private and Anonymous profile visibility options go?
A: Those profile visibility options have been replaced with one easy-to-use button under My Profile. Toggle the button to grey to hide your resume and profile from employers. You can still search for jobs, but you won’t appear in employers’ search results. Conversely, when toggled to blue, employers can search for your resume and find your profile. And as always, you can still input specific employers you want to block from viewing your profile.
Q: Why isn’t my username working?
A: All existing usernames have been updated to the email address associated with the job seeker account. When logging in, use your email address. If you have any trouble accessing your account, please reach out to our Customer Service team.
Q: What if I run into issues or have questions?
A: Our Customer Service team is here to help! Contact us at [email protected] for assistance.
