March Spotlight: Interesting Cleared Opportunities

Posted by Ashley Jones

In the cleared community we often see countless openings for engineers and analysts, but are you familiar with cleared opportunities for psychologists or phlebotomists? While jobs like these may not appear frequently across your radar, there are many unique positions in the government contracting landscape that require security cleared professionals to get the job done.

If you’re looking for a fascinating opportunity or you’re curious how else you can put your clearance to use, check out our roundup of some of the most interesting cleared job openings from the month:

1. Clinical Psychologist

Are you passionate about our service members’ health and wellbeing? GeoLogics is looking for a Clinical Psychologist to work with special ops units in various branches of the military in Cannon AFB, New Mexico. Put your PhD or PsyD to work and help return soldiers back to elite status, using a holistic approach including mental, physical and spiritual wellness. Provide psychological treatment, help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries, assist in rehabilitation of patients and much more in this rewarding role.

2. Biologist – Researcher

Do you ask questions driven by an innate curiosity? If so, join Battelle Memorial Institute at the forefront of scientific innovation to tackle critical challenges in security, human health, manufacturing, energy and environmental management. As a Biologist in Gainesville, Florida you’ll work in the field and laboratory to advance public health pesticide application technologies and techniques to control the spread of insect carried human disease.

3. Social Media Exploitation Engineer

This opening may be for an engineer, but it’s not your typical run of the mill position. Bogart Associates is hiring a Social Media Exploitation Engineer in Reston, Virginia to support groups focused on social media and other ‘exotic’ collection capabilities. It’s unique in that the position is self-managed and the developer owns the lifecycle from prototype to production, and then steps out of the way to allow someone more junior to do the O&M. Enjoy freedom, creativity, and opportunities for exploration of ideas in this heavy hitting role.

4. Food Service Specialist

Are you a foodie looking to travel out of the country? Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Food Service Specialist to oversee all food service operations and support dining facility functions for up to 30 US government and contractor personnel in a remote South Asian location. Use your Food Safety Professional Food Handler Certification and knowledge of US food and health regulations to provide supervision, training, oversight, and assistance to mess personnel performing food preparation.

5. Phlebotomist

Ever wonder what it takes to be a Phlebotomist, besides a tolerance for needles and blood? Well in the intelligence community it can require a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Polygraph. Do you fit the bill? QTC Medical Group is offering a rewarding and challenging opportunity to support medical services in Chantilly, Virginia as a Phlebotomist. Assist in basic medical assessments including vital signs, patient check-in, basic life support and more.
