Memorial Day 2024

This is America. Still the greatest country on earth, in my opinion. Where people still come from all over the world to have life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It is a core of the founding of our Republic.

With the world around us in a constant state of chaos and conflict, Americans live in relative peace and prosperity. But this comes with a price. As it has been said many times, “Freedom Isn’t Free.” And so, for over 248 years, the women and men of our military have answered the call to serve and defend our freedoms with courage, dedication, and selflessness, knowing the risks were great but the cause was greater.

Every year on Memorial Day we honor the sacrifices of our fallen service members who put their lives on the line for our nation, for our freedom, and for that of future generations of Americans.

Stories of the brave, actions big and small, sacrifice and service are what we remember. Let us also remember to recognize, appreciate, and offer comfort to our Gold Star Families for the losses they have suffered personally.

As Americans, I ask you all to join me in taking a moment to remember the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines who made the ultimate sacrifice giving all Americans the ability to speak, think, and live freely. We owe it to them never to forget because Freedom Isn’t Free.
