Battelle | John McCracken

Battelle is the largest independently operated not for profit research and development company. Their motto is Profit for a Purpose. Lockheed Martin Space | Melissa Foley

Working the Space division of Lockheed Martin, Melissa places candidates for anything from satellite to ground stations, as well as Orion spacecraft to GPS. Her hiring needs include software developers, cyber, and systems engineers. Those positions are in their main employment hubs of DC, Pennsylvania, California, and Colorado but they do have some flexibility with remote positions.

At Lockheed in the Space Division, 16% of their employees are veterans. The organization believes in work/life balance, with most of their positions having a flexible schedule, working 4 days a week at 10 hours a day. Chameleon Consulting Group | Scott Tekesky

At their heart, Scott says that Chameleon (CCG) is a technology company who has their customers in the government and DoD space doing architecture and design work on products and systems. They have projected a growth of 50% for new hires in 2023 in the fields of software engineers, dev ops engineers, and vulnerability researchers. They can clear professionals for all their government contracts.

Many CCG employees are veterans who understand the mindset of mission first and the company looks for candidates who are problem solvers. Scott believes that their success comes from a hiring practice of not compromising on talent. Most of their employees are remote workers or on a hybrid schedule.
